Oriental Cuisine Ltd owned Thai Restaurant Chain – Benjarong, Bakery Chain – French Loaf and Zara Tapas Bar is on a massive expansion spree in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune. Oriental Cuisine Ltd had raised money by offloading 50% stake to Peepul Capital of Mauritius. This money is coming handy to Oriental’s expansion plan as rentals have fallen by 20-25% and expansion making lot more sense today than a year ago.
The company currently operates Zara Tapas and Benjarong restaurant in Chennai and Kolkata. It plans to open Zara in Bangalore and Pune by the end of this month and then later move to Mumbai and Delhi NCR. So also the Benjarong restaurant will mark its presence in the above cities.
French Loaf is an upmarket brand and sells bread, pastry and other bakery products. The only French Loaf outlet is operational in Chennai and the rest of the above cities will see opening within the next 6 months.
Oriental also operates China Town, Plant Yumm, Noodle House and plans to start another restaurant chain Cocum. You can check out their website for location of these outlets.
