Just a while ago, Malvinder Singh & Shivender Singh announced investments to the tune of Rs 800 crore in Pharmacy retailing by opening 24/7 Pharmacy shops in 400 towns across India.
Malvinder also released the logo of Fortis HealthWorld as shown above.
The HealthWorld shops will offer Prescription and OTC drugs, Health Supplements, Health Foods, Ayurveda and Homeopathy Personal Care products as well as Telemedicine facility. How the Singh brothers plan to capture the fragmented market ? They will offer Loyalty Program, 24/7 OPD Consultancy and Free Home Delivery to begin with.
Shivinder Singh said,
We will be putting all the products manufactured by other companies at competitive prices. People need not go to hospital for blood tests any more. We plan to have 1,000 stores by 2012.
