ITC promoted Wills Lifestyle, a well known brand with 12% Lifestyle market share is all set to enter the Affordable DesignerWear market. The company has hired designers who are already creating special collections which will be displayed and marketed through exclusive Lifestyle stores.
Wills Lifestyle has seen increased footfalls from the Women segment who now contribute 35% of the sales. In order to woo the most preferred shoppers, the company has launched accessories line as the market looks promising.
This festive season has seen pick-up in demand by 10% and it should gradually increase to 15% by the end of Dec-10. Adding to the sales number is the fact that the company embarked upon adding multiple collections to stay contemporary in fashion and also offer the proposition of value for money for some customers looking for it.
The company is also planning to add one store in ITC Maurya Shearton New Delhi, Adgra and Bangalore. They currently have 50 stores across 30 cities and plan to add 2 stores a month across Tier I / II cities. Goal is to reach 100 stores within the next 2 years.
