Spencer’s Retails books, toys, stationary, art, and music store – Books & Beyond opened its fifth retail outlet in Hyderabad. Spencer’s is positioning it as “Community Engaging Store” and is targeting opening them at all Cosmopolitan cities in India where it has huge potential for business.
Mr. Dasaratharman, President Spencer’s Specialty Retailing said,
This format is our route to get into the leisure and entertainment sector. Our target is to reach atleast 15 stores by the end of this fiscal [Mar-09]
Each Books & Beyond store has an average carpet area of 8,000 sft. Each store will stock upwards of 35,000 books and magazines. The store is also planning to provide interaction with authors during book releases.
