Catmoss Kidswear Expansion + Bollywood Branding

Catmoss – the kidswear retailer from New Delhi which currently has 100 stores is planning to add 225 more stores in an ambitious expansion plan to be completed by the end of Mar-2009.

Mr. Ashwani Chawla, Director @ Catmoss Retail said,

With organized retail gaining momentum, the branded kidswear segment is also growing. We plan to add 225 more stors with an investment of Rs 70 crore.

Catmoss manufactures kidswear in India and imports accessories from China, Thailand and Taiwan. The company has partnered with Yashraj Films for Bollywood merchandising. The company has secured official license for Bollywood’s first animated movie Roadside Romeo.

We all know that Kids and Women are the big budget spenders in retail. Only Rs 500 crore of the estimated Rs 27,000 crore kids apparel and accessories market is with organized retailing today thus offering immense potential for these companies. Catmoss hopes to hit a turnover of Rs 125 crore by Mar-09.
