C Sivsankran, India’s Li Ka-Shing who is known to build sucessfull businesses and sell them is close to signing a deal with Lavazza. Siva is selling his coffee chain, Barista to LavAzza. Siva has already sold DishnetDSL to Tata group and Aircel to Maxis.
Sivsankaran is estimated to have invested around Rs 75 crore in the coffee business. Rs 65 crore for acquisition of stake in Barista from Tata’s and Turner Morisson and another Rs 10 crore as working capital.
Lavazza is an Italian coffee chain and looks like they are all set to impress the Italian Lady in power corridors of Delhi 😉
