Kishore Biyani founder of Pantaloon Retail India Ltd will very soon launch “Hometown” chain of retail stores. Hometown will cater to all your home needs – Furniture, Lighting, Plumbing, Masonry and other home decor things.
The first HomeTown store will be opened in Bangalore / Bengaluru, Kishore Biyani’s favorite city for retailing which is so far untouched by Mukesh Ambani 🙂 Biyani expects to open 9 such stores and the total store area under HomeTown to be 1 Million sft. Future Group will invest Rs 200 crore in Hometown stores.
Insiders have said that Biyani was in talks with Ansals, Unitech and other Real Estate Developers to be a tier-1 supplier for them. However, Biyani’s Future Group lacks transparency like any other Marwari family business and is shady about what comes under the listed entity of Pantaloon Retail Ltd.
