Exclusive: Reliance Fresh Delhi-NCR

We bring you an exclusive coverage of the opening day of Reliance Fresh in Delhi and NCR region where the company will spend more than $2 Billion opening 100 Reliance Fresh and close to 25 Reliance Hypermarket stores.
Each of Reliance Fresh store are approximately 3,000 sft in size. Reliance Fresh mostly sources from local producers.
Reliance Industries has spent nearly Rs 2,000 crores to acquire 74 properties at various places in Delhi. They have silently bought most properties in DDA auction. Parsvnath Developers Ltd is one of the major property owners in Delhi and NCR after Ansals. India’s largest SEZ, Reliance Haryana SEZ is also set to come in this area.
Reliance Retail is planning for an IPO in 2008. Every Reliance Fresh stores will run one Hot Offer everyday.
Every Reliance Fresh store will generate revenues of Rs 45 Lakh [$100,000] every month.
Reliance plans to open at least 6 Hypermarkets by the end of June-2007 across Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, Chennai and Mumbai.
