Raymonds on expansion Spree

Raymond Ltd is all set to expand its retail presence from existing 350 stores to 950 by 2010. Raymond Ltd today launched the company’s 350th store – The Raymond Shop in Mumbai.

Each Raymond Shop is of 2,500-3,000 sft and will cost the company Rs 5 Million to setup. As on today, the company has 1 Million sft of retail space and this will be doubled in the next 3 years.

The Raymond Shops were the first one to enter Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India. All these shops stock brands such as – Park Avenue, Color Plus, Manzini, Notting Hill and Parx. The company is also expanding its presence in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
