Tata Croma the consumer durable retail chain from the house of Tata’s has a very good competitor now – Mukesh Ambani from Reliance Retail.
Mr. Ambani announced his plans to enter the consumer durables market. The store format will be known as Reliance Digital. Unlike Tata’s who have a tie up with Woolworth, Reliance is likely to go solo. The first Reliance Digital store will come up in Shipra Mall at Ghaziabad.
Availability of Real Estate is a prime concern for Reliance’s ambitious Retail venture. Reliance Retail is also in talks with Citibank for consumer finance. Couldn’t they get a better bank to talk to ?
