Donear Industries Ltd is all set for its retail India foray by the Indian Holiday season this year. The company has chalked out an ambitious retail expansion plan to establish 200 outlets by the end of 2008.
Mr. Debashis Poddar, Donear CEO said,
These discount stores under a new brand will sell garments apart from lifestyle products such as shoes and sunglasses. We will primarily target Class B cities.
Donear has their manufacturing unit in Surat, setup at a cost of Rs 200 crore. Donear knows its strengths and it wants to primarily establish itself in Tier-II cities where it can compete with Reliance’s Vimal for a share of organized retail market.
Donear also exports its products and exports currently contribute 15% of its sales.
