Titan Indutries Ltd which is into the retailing business of Watches and Jewellery is all set to launch Eyewear retailing business.
Titan plans to launch 150 Titan Eye + stores by the end of 2012 said company sources. In the initial phase, Titan will immediately launch a store in Bangalore followed by Chennai and Nagpur.
Titan Eye + hopes to be one stop shop for style and eye care. Apart from selling frames, lenses and accessories, it will also offer free eye testing.
Company insiders say that Titan Eye + stores will stock brands such as Vogue, Elle, Hugo Boss, D&G and Mont Blanc.
The Titan brand of lens will cost the shopper Rs 145 – Rs 21,000, while other brands will cost Rs 350 to Rs 15,000.
Titan Eye + will also sell contact lenses and sunglasses from Gucci, Ray Ban and Mont Blanc.
