Mid-American footwear retailer Crocs found it hard to resist from retailing in India and has opened its first company owned store in Pune and plans to open 14 more stores across India by September-08. Crocs retails through various high-end retailers like Central Mall etc.
The specialty of Crocs footwear is colors and a cheese with holes design molded from croslite material. The kids range in the Pune outlet start from Rs 995 while adults have to shell out Rs 1,495.
Mr. Murali, MD of Crocs India said,
Exclusive company owned stores will be opened in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderbad, Chennai and Kolkata over the next few months.We will look at franchising at a later stage.
Crocs is mostly popular amongst women and kids though they have a range for men as well.
