Vimal brand now has ambitious global plans. It contributes to nearly 20% of all Indian fabric exports and plans to double the same by 2010. Most of it is exported to US, Europe and Japan.
In the domestic market, Vimal is focusing on worsted suitings which is a Rs 1,000 crore market of which Vimal’s share is 10%. About 70% of urbanites prefer Ready to Wear [RTW] and 55% of it is branded material. Ms Nita Ambani congratulated the team and said,
